Cantignemare is an amalgamation of three seperate latin words: Cantor, Ignus, Amare. Cantor is for what I do: I'm a tale-spinner, a story-teller, a poet... all of life is a song, I sing a part of it. Ignus is for my core: the living fire, the spark of the Divine, the power of the will, the heat of passion, the light of imagination. Amare is for who I am to others: I am not a "nice" person, but I care, those I choose to love I love until this life is through, I give freely of myself to those I believe are deserving and should I be called on to pass judgement I pour myself into the attempt at judging fairly without bias. This is who I am in essence, but if you wish, call me...

Garrett. It's Anglo-Saxon from what I've read and been told. It came about by the combination of the words 'gar' for spear, and 'rathe' for quick or swift. So, if you want to be overly technical, my name is that of the earliest tools of death humanity has ever made. I am the eldest child and first son of my parents, spearheading for the two others that followed in my wake. Since our greatest tool and weapon is that within our skull... I like to think this bastardization of an ancient tongue applies to me at least twice, if not more. Now having said that, I'm a poet and a novelist; it's hardly the occupation of a warrior.

I'm Texan by birth and upbringing, to me, that means I try to be courteous an respectful to everyone. The rules are simply this: play nice with the other kiddies and everybody gets along splindedly, I don't like conflict but sometimes it's needed.

I'm going to college for an english degree. The idea is to go into teaching, prepherably in a college where I can deal with (hopefully) intelligent adults and make enough to live while I write, as novelists are notoriously under-paid.

If you use my email address then you had damn well better specify where you found it in the first line or two, if I don't recognize the email and the first few lines don't give me a reason to care then it's refuse, and I'll treat it as such.
